How is it that I can apparently only learn lessons the hard way? So apparently wearing dangling earrings with a baby who is suddenly interested in grabbing things is not the wisest decision...:) Yesterday I was laying on the floor with Delanah and in her new found fascination for our faces, she rolled onto her side and was exploring my face as usual...then she found the earring....OUCH!!!! I held onto her hand so she couldn't pull back, then my mom came to my rescue and held onto her arm so I could uncurl the fingers and we were safe, but man, hard lesson to learn! Poor g-ma learned exactly how hard Delanah's little hands can clasp when Delanah decided to check out the cheeks and nose :)
Today Delanah discovered Piper. Piper was on the counter and Delanah was in my arms when WHAM! Delanah caught sight of a cool new toy. Next thing I know, bam, bam, bam...Delanah is slamming her hand on the counter trying to "pet" and explore Piper. There was at least 10 inches between them and Pipe kept shooting me looks like "keep it away...don't know what it is, but keep it away..." Well, I was amused in any event!
