Seriously...need some sleep!

Last night/this morning was brutal!! Little missy simply did not want to go to sleep! Around midnight I went to bed after feeding her one last time and Dave stayed up with her. I wish he had gone to bed earlier and gotten some sleep! She was gassy again and Dave said she would scream unless she was over his shoulder. No toots until about 4am though...must have been some brutal pain :( At 4am I heard her crying and got up and sent Dave to bed. I fed Delanah again and after some nice burps put her in bed again...crying as soon as she was down, but gosh darn it! I was tired! I sat in her room and then on the floor outside her room and waited. She wasn't crying anymore, just fussing, hoping one of us would head back in there. Within 3 min she was quiet and within 6 min she was well and truly asleep :) YAY!!! Dave was rather shocked to have me climb into bed so soon after feeding her...I was back in bed by 5:10am!
We all had a lazy morning and didn't start stirring until a little after 9:30am. Bay loved it because we invited her up on our bed with us for cuddles...she hasn't had that since before Delanah was born! Sweet pea had the biggest grins for us this morning! She was surely rested :) There was a nice nap in the swing this morning that allowed us to get some things done and then Dave and I took turns playing and cuddling with her the rest of the day. My house is coming along! I decided not to stress out about the shape of the house before Brendan and Jess come tomorrow. The little things are what no one but me are going to notice, and I am okay with that :) Today, although we did get a lot done, felt quite relaxed to me. I even got to spend some time with Piper up in our room...I have sorely neglected the poor bird since before Delanah was born.
Tonight Dave is staying up to watch a Cricket game...silly boy! I think I am going to head to bed early to get some rest so I can take over duties in the morning. Delanah was an awesome diaper destroyer today! I am now drying a load of pretty much just her little g's and liners! My goodness! Super foosher is she! It still cracks us up to see her little face so serious in concentration...and then the little grunts...just too funny! She is getting so expressive! I get my smiles when she sees me and I just love it! Tonight I went out and about and when I came home she was in her bath with Dave and when she saw me I got some of the biggest grins! And then there were the excited kicks and arm movements. She's such a water baby! I am looking forward to starting swimming lessons with her in 3 months time. I want her to keep her love of water. I love swimming so much and I would love to share that with her. I want her to be comfortable in water and I want Dave and I to be comfortable with her in water as well. We have looked into swimming lessons and there is a company that only teaches swimming and starts mom and me classes when babies are 6 months old. Their pools are salt water filtered instead of chlorine and if she has my skin, she's going to do heaps better staying out of chlorine for awhile. I admit...I've already been looking at bathing suits for her...and I've been looking for a month now! The little suits are just too cute! I just refuse to pay more for her bathing suit than I would pay for my own! So I have 3 months to get myself in a place where I am comfortable in a bathing suit. I think I am doing well diet wise, but I need to start getting that exercise aspect in there. Now that I seem to be able to get Delanah to nap or play/entertain herself in the mornings for awhile, there really is no excuse to not pull out my pilates video and go through it. I need to get my bum in gear and head to the gym for some cardio as well. It's too cold out at the moment to walk outside, but once it warms up again, I know Bay will enjoy the walks we're going to take!
Okay, Dave has been upstairs with Delanah for an hour now and it's quiet, but I have a feeling he is "stuck" holding her. She just doesn't seem to want to sleep in her crib easily lately. She needs to get her sleep so she is in good form to meet her uncle tomorrow! We were going to go to the airport with Dave, but we're thinking of having us stay home now. It was 27 deg out tonight at 7pm, the time we would need to be leaving tomorrow, and we hate to interrupt her routine at night...but we'll see tomorrow!
