Sooo...Delanah has a cold! Booo!!!! She is in very good spirits, but is sleeping more. She had a yucky cough yesterday, but I haven't heard anything this morning yet. No...this morning I am getting the "armed sneeze"..... who knew such a little nose could produce so much snot?! I was caught off guard initially...won't do that again! It was a sneeze with two streams of snot (at least 3-4 inches long) shooting out. No tissue...her tongue perilously close....what to do, what to do? Out come the fingers! I am now a human tissue...awesome!!!!
I am going to make a confession now....before I was a mom, heck, even in the first few weeks of being a mom, I judged other moms I saw whose children were in stores in bare feet and who had either snot streams or crusty noses....to those moms I apologize...I understand now. When you have a child that will use all 4 limbs to fight you off when you are trying to wipe their nose...they win! When there is a slow, but steady, stream of snot coming from their nose...you choose...do I constantly wipe or wait until there is enough there to wipe and avoid the meltdown.....I understand snot encrusted children's mothers! I am in your club now too!!!!
