Whew! Delanah and I are exhausted tonight! The day started out slowly, a little floor time practicing sitting and trunk control...yeah, we're still working on that :) She is getting amazingly good at tracking her toys and with her hand/eye coordination, getting the toy she wants! She still loves to swing her arm up and down, inevitably whacking herself in the face with her toy, but hey, she doesn't cry and seems to like it, so who am I to rain on her parade?
It was such a beautiful day today! My Uncle Joe was in the Springs and was staying with the g-parents tonight so Delanah and I got ourselves ready and drove down there. We were no more than a mile away when I realized I didn't have my cell phone. I could have sworn I dropped it in the diaper bag...or my hoodie pocket...or my jeans...or somewhere...but couldn't find it. G-pa was going to be leaving for little league practice by 4pm, and it was already 3:40, so we needed to be on our way. We got there in plenty of time to see g-pa and tried a new tactic...let Delanah settle in to the new surrounding and try the cuddles later. Uncle Joe got to see Delanah before they were both off to the ball field. G-ma came home a little later and she, Delanah, Bay and I were off on a little walk. Came home, played with the dogs in the yard and then I took Bay inside to eat her dinner...she caught sight of the boys still playing and knocked out the screen door!!!! At this point, Delanah had been fussing for about an hour, I had had it and was ready to pack up and go home where things are a bit more calm. We stayed and had a lovely dinner, Delanah even calmed down enough to give people cuddles!
Tonight was an easy bedtime as well...she was so tired! Now if I could only get myself to bed as well. Got a text tonight and I am meeting some moms and babies tomorrow for a zoo walk. That pass is starting to come in handy! I am liking the new moms I am meeting, I need to get together with more of them. Makes me feel better to be around people who are going through the same things!
