So last night we decided to try cereal again. Dave made his wonderful lasagna and we settled Delanah in her high chair and us at the table. Dave and I started eating, Delanah watching our every move, and then I offered her some cereal on a spoon....and she took some in!!! I think she may have consumed a little less than a teaspoon before she turned away from the food and wanted her toys instead, but she took some in! I am more concerned about her getting the hang of eating than I am with her eating cereal, so I think I might make some breast milk slushies to let her eat. That way she's still getting breast milk, but getting the practice eating as well. Seems pretty win/win to me!
Yes, I was opening my mouth to get her to open hers, and I think it worked! Dave tried the whole airplane thing when we tried cereal the first time. Aaahhhhh! We have become those parents that I used to chuckle about!
