After last nights long, excruciating bedtime routine, I decided tonight was going to be different. It helped that Stephanie offered to watch Delanah so I could get some "me" time and go to the gym. I came back energized and ready! Unfortunately my little Delanah started crying 15 min after I left and never stopped! Lately Delanah has wanted only myself or Dave. I can leave for several hours when she's with Dave and there are no issues, but anyone else...watch out!
As soon as we were in her room and she was on her changing table it was all smiles and giggles! Cheeky little girl! Wow! My little girl is a splasher! We do bath time a little differently from Daddy...I sing during her baths and egg on her splashing. Today she splashed up to my head! You go girl!
After her last nursing she fell asleep in my arms, woke when I stood (I am beginning to hate the squeaky floor!) and went into her crib awake, but happy. I turned the mobile on and we watched it together. I didn't speak at all, but started signing to her. She really enjoys when I do that and watches so intently. I was mainly finger spelling that it was time for her to go to sleep! :) A little after 9pm I left her room and came downstairs. She would talk, squeal, and towards the end fussed just a little bit, but by a little after 10pm, no more noises coming from the room! I have done well with keeping myself down here, I usually go up too early and spoil the sleep!
I am just so proud of myself! This was what I was fearing the most being alone...her bedtime. I think I can do this! I am enjoying my time with her, the animals are doing well....I miss Dave, but I think I needed this to know that I could do it on my own :)
