By myself!!!!!

I did it!!!!! I put Delanah to bed by myself and it took only an hour!!! It was quite peaceful as well :) I gave her her last feed around 8:30pm and decided that it would be straight into the crib for bedtime. Dave came up to check on us and gave me a very detailed list of what to do and what to look for to see if she was nodding off...it was very cute! Dave usually has bedtime duty with Delanah. Dave is going to be traveling next week though and I am going to have to do bedtime on my own, no better time like the present to practice!
I started with the usual mobile and light while Delanah blew raspberries at me and used her outside voice several times :) and I tried leaving at one point but she got pretty aggrevated and it looked to me that she was getting a little over-stimed with the mobile. So it was the seahorse next and no other lights. She quite quickly focused on the seahorse and I was able to leave the room. After a few minutes though she was voicing her opinion, loudly, and I realised that the seahorse had turned itself out...ooops! So up again I went and turned it on again and sat in the glider. Very soon I realised that she was quiet, and then the seahorse was done and she was quiet as well. I peeked in on her and although the paci was in her mouth, she was asleep! And it was only 9:43pm!!!!! YAY ME!!!!!
I am very proud of myself at the moment....:)
