Crying and smiles

Last night was a brutal night here. Little missy did not nap well Sunday and it showed last night. She was overtired and had a hard time falling asleep; there was a lot of crying last night. Daddy had to take over and rock her to sleep :) Then there was a 6+ hour stretch of sleep! Yay! She woke up just the happiest baby! She then went down until almost 9am this morning! I could do with some more sleep still, but for the first time I was able to shower, eat a snack and get set up for the day before I got her up. What a great way to start the day!
Today we had a really good session in the Bumbo as well! She has always hated that thing! I think I found a way to make her happy in it though...I put it on the couch and then sit on a stool so we're eye to eye. We played with rings, read some books and I took heaps of pictures...until she got tired of posing for them :) Napping did not go well today. Every time I changed her diaper, in preparation for a nap she would send me her gummy grin and coo at me. Life is too short to pass up moments like that. At the moment my darling girl is sleeping in my lap and has been for the past hour and a half. I am hungry, and could use a change in position, but I know that all too soon there won't be any naps in my lap and I am going to soak this up as long as possible
