Delanah slept almost 10 hours last night!!!! She was asleep by 11:30pm and woke about 9:15am, and that was only because I moved her. She has gotten this bad habit lately of turning herself sideways in her crib at night and sticking her feet through the crib slats. I moved her to the center of the crib and I think that woke her up as by 9:30 she was ready to go! The crib dancing really started last week. I woke Tuesday morning last week to find her feet pressed up against the bottom of the crib...we start her at the top! The next morning she was 3/4 of the way down the crib, but turned 90 degrees from where she started! Thursday morning I found her 3/4 of the way down the crib, turned 90 degrees and with her feet sticking through the crib slats! That scared me a bit! Tonight I finally made it to Babies R Us to get the mesh bumper so we don't have the issue of feet stiking out, and we don't have the danger of the normal bumpers as this one is completely mesh and she can breathe through it if she ever came pressed up against it.
This morning we went on a walk with Stephanie. Stephanie took Bay yesterday morning for us at 10am for a "play date" with Knoxx and took her for a walk as well, I collected her at 1:30 yesterday afternoon. She showed up at the door and said "let me take her, you guys go get some rest"...what an awesome neighbor! As Delanah was just eating this morning at 10am we rescheduled the walk until 11am. We were late, of course, but we all made it to the walking spot! As Knoxx is a restricted dog in Aurora, we drive a few minutes away to Centenniel so he can walk without a muzzle...he's such a sweet dog! I hate that he has to be muzzled here :( Anyhoos, Stephanie took the two dogs and I had Delanah bundled up in the stroller. The wind really picked up as we started walking and about 1/2 way through Delanah started crying. Poor thing had such a pink nose! It was in the upper 40's when we started, but the wind chill brought that down I am sure. I just felt so horrid having her out in that weather!
She stopped crying as soon as she was back in the car out of the wind...poor thing! We power walked the last mile or so...boy am I out of shape! It felt great to be out there exercising my legs and lungs again though :) Delanah had a good feed and then napped for almost 3 hours! I actually had to wake her up! I was able to get some laundry done, take a nice long shower and even do my hair and make-up!!! We played after her dinner and I got some great shots of Delanah, Bay and my knee playing with her gym. We had some pretty nice diaper fills as well, so all over a full afternoon :)
Currently she is fighting sleep upstairs. I wish Dave would go to bed and let me take over, but he takes his job of putting her to bed seriously and is insisting on sticking with it. Poor guy is so tired! Delanah seems to want to hang out late at night these days and sleep in in the mornings...so Dave is getting the short end of the stick! Tomorrow Dave has a business dinner so Delanah and I are going solo! Grandpa Suarez is coming up tomorrow morning to watch Delanah for me so I can get some much needed errands done, so at least I am getting a break at some point during the day :) I think we'll be just fine :)
