Another beautiful day!!! It hit up to 70deg today :) As it was so nice, and a free day at the zoo, we met up with Andrea and Isabell and had a nice walk through the zoo. It was more for the moms I think!! We are going to do it again on another warm day, just not another free day...it was crazy in there! I have never seen so many strollers at one time before! Delanah was a little miss fussy towards the end, she was way tired but fighting sleep as usual. Tonight we continue the battle against sleep...I hope she's just having an off day and it's not teething! Isn't it too early for teething?
I have one happy little girl who loves to blow raspberries more and more. It is how I am greeted and how she likes to spend diaper changing time :) She is continuing to be one heck of a mover and shaker in her crib! This morning I found her turned sideways resting her ankle on the top of the breathable bumper...looking as relaxed as can be! When she was in her crib later this morning (attempting a nap time) I came in and found her in the same position! Cheeky little girl!
I'd like to think that Delanah and I are finding our groove together. I am feeling more and more confident as a mom. I am learning to trust my instincts, but I am also learning to seek the advice and guidance of other moms. I have been getting some great guidance from moms lately and I appreciate it more than I can say. It is done in such a way that my parenting is not under minded, but offered as something that has worked for them and may work for me as well.
Over the past week or so, I have been subjected to some comments that have questioned my parenting and I have felt quite on guard. As a new mom I am very sensitive at this point and I feel I may be taking some of the comments too hard, but when it comes to my daugher, my "mama bear" comes out and it's hard to keep in check. I have to thank my dear friend Janice for being my voice of reason this week. Even several states away she can help clear my "mama bear" fog.
As I have been writing this Daddy has worked his magic and it sounds like we have a peaceful Delanah...Yay! Early to bed for me!
